Time to Go!
It's time. Our bags are packed (mostly) and tickets are in hand. After what has felt like forever, it is now time for us to leave the US and begin our journey to Ecuador (by way of Costa Rica). The Lord has done much in us during this season of preparation and building partnerships, and we are thankful for each day of it, but now we can finally take the next steps to go to the land He has called us to. In just a few short days we will be boarding a plane to Costa Rica where we will join with other missionaries in language learning (for Tech and Serenity) and missiological training. We are thankful for how we have seen God move during this season but we are ready for the next.
Thank you for your continued prayers for our family. The last few weeks (maybe longer) have been a blur, from multiple district/ network conferences, packing up our home, continuing to travel for services and there's still some home schooling tucked in there. Keep our parents in prayer. Although we are blessed to have parents that support us in what God is asking us to do, it is also a sacrifice for them to be away from all of us (especially Serenity) and although they are all planning on traveling to see us, the trip is not going to be as easy as it was.
Speaking of Parents...
After 33 years as missionaries to the country of Venezuela and about 50 years in ministry altogether, Megan's parents are retiring. We are thankful for their example of faithful ministry and although they are officially "retired", we know they aren't going to stop sharing the gospel and helping people find freedom in Christ anytime soon!
In 2017 we purchased our first home in MO. Almost 6 years to the day, we left it to begin our next move. On to Costa Rica!
